In less than 6 months, a client was able to reduce the number of prior authorizations processed by the facility nursing staff by 50 percent. The results occured because the pharmacy handles more of the prior authorization process than ever before. Absolute implemented a new process that minimizes the time facility staff is involved in obtaining prior authorization approvals. An example of the time saved includes Absolute Pharmacy directly contacting the payers as an agent of the physicians.

To improve the level of service to our customers, we created a new paperless workflow system.
This advanced, new document management system will store faxed orders electronically, and will allow faxes to be enlarged for accurate review. These documents will be linked to the pharmacy operating system to allow our associates to instantly retrieve information and answer customer questions. In addition, we created an electronic call log to track conversations with facility nurses, to provide quick and accurate response to customer needs.
The new paperless technology is designed to provide much more efficient information management and faster response times – to help make our superior service even better.
